Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Medical Coder to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG assignment, along with a valid DHA license. You will be responsible for reviewing clinical documentation and assigning accurate codes for inpatient hospital services, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze inpatient medical records to extract clinical data.

• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes.

• Ensure accurate DRG assignment for optimal reimbursement.

• Comply with all DHA coding guidelines, regulations, and ethical standards.

• Query physicians for clarification when documentation is incomplete or ambiguous.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of proven experience in inpatient medical coding.

• Active DHA license is mandatory.

• AAPC (CIC, CPC) or AHIMA (CCS) certification preferred.

• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
